“EFFORT”

Special Note:   The below definition was created and dedicated in 2003 by all the players on the 1989 and 1990 Eclipse teams.

Cheer on your teammates when they are down.  Work hard with a good attitude and enthusiasm every second of the time that you are on the basketball court.  Make every shot your best shot.  Be a leader by stepping up your game when your team is down.  Be willing to take the winning shot.  Be at every practice and game unless you have a family, school or church function.  Always push your teammate in practice so that you both will become better.  Always run every drill at practice game speed.  Set the bar high and never let it lower.  Never say you can’t!  Set aside what would make you comfortable or hurt the least and go all out.  Practice and play like it will be your last time.  It is not how good you are but how hard you work.  When you have put enough effort out you feel the greatness, even if you fail.  Put your team ahead of your self.  Always try to do what your coach asks.
