Jerrod Stanford

Jerrod comes to the Eclipse with youth and passion for the game of basketball. He was unanimously selected to first all -area and all-league his senior year in high school, in which his team finish 24-2 and third in the State of Kansas. He also played two years for Sterling College where he lettered his freshman year; however his sophomore year was tampered by surgeries and rehabs. Coach Lonnie Kruse, who has the most victories in Kansas Collegiate women’s basketball history, approached Jerrod after his sophomore year to offer him a coaching position. Although still a full time student at Sterling College, Jerrod is the recruiting coordinator as well as the head Junior Varsity coach. Jerrod will graduate in May 2008 with a Bachelors degree in history and education. He has worked in the development of basketball skills in youth for the past six years. He has coached MAYB teams for the past four years, experiencing much success. Jerrod will be rejoining the Eclipse in the summer for his second season. "I am really looking forward to the opportunities that await me as a coach and a person. This is an opportunity for me to grow as a coach, help athletes achieve more than they thought they could and be exposed to the best talent all summer long."
